Tikka Masala meatballs with curry rice

If you're a fan of Indian food like we are, then this recipe is a must-try! The bold and aromatic spices used in Indian dishes are what make them so irresistible. What's great about Indian cuisine is that there are so many ways to prepare it, making each dish unique and delicious in its own way. For this particular recipe, we're using ground beef, a delicious Tikka masala sauce, and fresh peppers and onions for a burst of flavor. Of course, we can't forget the white rice and curry, and for a little kick, we're adding some cayenne pepper. Trust me, the combination of all these ingredients will leave your taste buds wanting more.
Ingredients:
-1 pound ground beef
-1/4 cup breadcrumbs
-2 cloves of garlic, minced
-1 jar of Tikka masala sauce
-1/2 teaspoon paprika
-1/2 teaspoon turmeric
-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
-Salt and pepper to taste
-1 yellow bell pepper, 1 red bell pepper cut into thin strips
-1 yellow onion cut into thin strips
-Olive oil
Curry Rice Ingredients:
1 cup basmati or white rice of choice
2 cups water
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon of curry powder
Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
2. Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.
4. Once the meatballs are cooked through, transfer them to a plate and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, add 1 more tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the sliced peppers and onions for 5-7 minutes, until they are softened.
6. Add the cooked meatballs back to the skillet with the peppers and onions, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the meatballs are coated in the pepper and onion mixture.
7. In a separate pot, prepare the basmati rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 1 tablespoon of curry and salt to taste. Stir to combine
8.Heat up your jarred Tikka masala sauce and set aside to poor on top of your dish.
9. To serve, plate some of the rice on a dish, top with the meatballs and peppers and onions mixture. ( now you can poor on your sauce)
10. Garnish with additional chopped green onions if desired.
