Cabbage steak pizza

This dish is perfect for those looking for a low-carb alternative and its simple and healthy to make! You still get all the flavors of pizza but lower calories and high fiber. Perfect if your'e looking to shed a little weight for summer time or just trying to add more vegetables into your diet.

Ingredients:
1 large head of cabbage
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup marinara sauce
1 ½ cups shredded cheese
1 cup assorted toppings of your choosing (e.g., pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives)
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F
Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut the head into 1-inch thick slices to create cabbage steaks.
Arrange the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Bake the cabbage steaks in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are tender and slightly browned.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and spread marinara sauce evenly over each cabbage steak.
Top with shredded cheese and your choice of toppings.
Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Tips:
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preferences.
For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the sauce.
This recipe can also be made vegan by using plant-based cheese.
